Now, however, I am completely, over-the-bend, addicted. I have a Hello Kitty mouse.

In my cube at work I have a Hello Kitty poster. I also have a Hello Kitty tumbler and stickers and even a Hello Kitty chap-stick.
At home I have a Hello Kitty eye-mask in case it's too bright to sleep.
I definitely give credit to my daughter for part of the new obsession. Her room used to be an office. It was so bare and boring looking that I felt like it failed as a nursery. During one visit to Target, I noticed a decent price on these wall-stickers. There were 4 large sheets of these stickers for only 10 bucks. That seemed reasonable to me, and they were cute Hello Kitty designs. I picked one of those up for her (and Cars for my son) and headed home. Not only were they incredibly easy to put up (just peel and stick), they looked great! Now my daughter's room looks like someone actually decorated in there.
After that, I felt like she needed more things to match. So now I want to get her this Hello Kitty radio (to play baby music on), a Hello Kitty lamp, and a Hello Kitty cool-mist vaporisor. Is that going too far?
Honestly, at this point, I don't think I'd know.
I need a 12-step program.
